Privacy Policy

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Your name and email address, collected when you create an account via Clerk authentication.
• Resume content: The text extracted from PDF files you upload for optimization. This is used solely to generate your optimized resume.
• Job descriptions: Text you paste into the job description field. Used only to tailor your resume.
• Purchase information: Transaction records (plan purchased, credits added, amount paid) processed through Lemon Squeezy. We do not store credit card numbers.
• Usage data: Basic usage information such as optimization history and credit balance, stored in your account.

We use your information exclusively to:

• Provide and improve the resume optimization service
• Process payments and manage your credit balance
• Send transactional emails (welcome email, purchase confirmations) via Resend
• Maintain your resume history in your account dashboard
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your resume text and job description are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate an optimized resume. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own Privacy Policy. We do not use your resume data to train AI models.

• Account and resume data are stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase in Canada (AWS ca-central-1).
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.
• Authentication is handled by Clerk, which uses industry-standard security practices.
• We retain your optimization history in your account until you delete your account. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Clerk — authentication and user management
• Supabase — database hosting
• Anthropic — AI resume rewriting (Claude API)
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery

We use session cookies strictly necessary for authentication (managed by Clerk). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your data

EnhanceApply is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of EnhanceApply after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
